A/N: Still experiencing technical difficulties with
the Fanfiction website.
Dramatic sigh. So, here
I am, typing up chapters, hoping that Fanfiction
will be able to let me log in soon, or at least by
Monday, because I won’t be back on until then.
Today is the boring Saturday. Yeah, I’m babbling.
So I’ll just shut up and write the chapter now.
Okay, so the technical difficulties are over
and I’m totally ready for you to review this.

. . .

Chapter One.

Draco Malfoy was sitting on the large, green couch that was in the Slytherin common room. Class was going to start soon, but he felt too lazy to get up at the moment and Pansy burst through the door.

Draco turned around and saw Pansy with some other Slytherin girls, talking about something in loud whispers.

“What are you whispering so loud about, Pansy?” Draco asked.

Pansy looked at him, then her friends, then back at Draco.

“There’s a new girl coming to Hogwarts.” Pansy said.

“A new girl? But we never get any new people here.” Draco said.

“Well, we are now.” Pansy replied walking up to Draco and placing herself on his lap.

“What’s her name? Is she pretty? Do you think she’ll be in Slytherin?” Draco asked, slightly annoyed by Pansy.

“We know next to nothing about her. We just heard Professor Dumbledore talking to Professor Flitwick about a new girl coming to Hogwarts soon. She’s from Beauxbatons.” One of Pansy’s friends answered.

Draco thought for a moment.

Beauxbatons girls were hot. This was going to be exciting.

“Wonderful. When is she coming?” Draco asked.

“Today.” Pansy answered.

“Good,” Draco smiled.

“You’re not thinking of leaving me, are you Drakey-poo?” Pansy asked in a worried voice.

“Eh.” Draco replied.

…………………

“Damn!” Hermione cursed.

It was only her first day at Hogwarts and she was already late for class.

She finally found he potions room and walked into the door.

“Nice of you to join us, Miss granger.” Professor Snape said.

She had met Snape earlier with Dumbldore.

…………………

Hermione was walking into the new school. Hogwarts.

She turned to face the headmaster, Professor Dumbledore.

“Are you nervous, Miss Granger?” he asked.

“Yes, I mean no. I mean…sort of.” She replied.

“You have nothing to worry about.” Dumbledore said.

“I sure hope not.” Hermione said.

“Now come, I have to sort you into a house.” Dumbledore said.

“House?” Hermione asked.

“We separate everyone into houses. There are four, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw.” Dumbledore said.

“Oh.” Hermione said. “Which one will I be in?” Hermione asked.

“We’ll have to get you to the sorting hat.” Dumbledore said.

They walked through the maze like corridors and then came to a stop at his office. He opened the door for her and she walked inside.

“This is the sorting hat.” Dumbledore said.

“What do I do with it?” Hermione asked.

“You wear it of course.” Dumbledore said.

“Oh.” Hermione said.

Hermione walked over to the hat and placed it atop her head.

“Hmm…fresh meat.” The hat said.

Hermione jumped.

“Don’t drop him dear, he doesn’t like that.” Dumbledore said.

“Sorry.” Hermione said.

She let the hat finish talking.

“Hmm…you have very great potential. Very bright…Ravenclaw? No…Lots of courage, could be a Gryffindor…but wait…what’s this? Interesting…interesting…I say…Slytherin.” The hat said.

“Very interesting.” Dumbledore said.

“What?” Hermione asked.

“Oh? Um, nothing. I just found it peculiar that you didn’t get Gryffindor.” Dumbledore said.

“Is that a bad thing?” Hermione asked.

“No no no.” Dumbledore said. “It’s just that…only purebloods were chosen to be in Slytherin. Very odd. Now let’s meet your head of house.”

Dumbledore waved his wand and a door opened revealing a tall, pasty man with sort of a hooked nose.

“Snape, this is your new student, Hermione Granger.” Dumbledore said.

Snape nodded at her.

She nodded back.

“Will you have someone show her the Slytherin common room after her first class?” Dumbledore asked.

“Yes,” Snape said.

“Good,” Dumbledore said. He turned to Hermione, “here’s your schedule.”

“Thanks.” Hermione said, talking it from him.

Hermione turned to see that Snape was gone.

“Now get to class.” Dumbledore said.

…………………

Snape threw her a disgusted look.

“Sorry, I got lost.” Hermione replied sheepishly.

“Class, this is our new student, Hermione Granger. She’s just transferred here from Beauxbatons. Isn’t that correct, Miss Granger?” Snape asked.

“Um, yes.” Hermione replied.

“Good. She’s in Slytherin just so you know. Have a seat, next to Draco Malfoy over there.” Snape said.

Hermione looked around to where Snape was pointing and saw a beautiful blond boy.

She smiled.

And he smiled back.

She walked over and sat next to him.

“He’ll be the one showing you to the common room after class.” Snape said.

Hermione nodded.

She took out a piece of parchment and started to write down notes when the Draco started to talk to her. She ignored the uber hot boy at first, but then he just got really talkative and annoying.

“I’m sorry, what?” Hermione asked.

“I’m Draco Malfoy.” He said.

“I know, what do you want?” Hermione asked.

He may have been hot, but he talked too much.

“Um, how about we get to know each other?” Draco asked.

“Um, okay?” Hermione answered.

“Why did you transfer to here from Beauxbatons?” Draco asked.

“That’s none of your business.” Hermione snapped.

“Oh, well I was just curious.” Draco said.

“Well, stop being curious.” Hermione said.

“Class dismissed.” Snape said.

Hermione got up and Draco followed.

“What do you want?” Hermione snapped.

“I’m supposed to shoe you he common room, remember?” Draco smirked.

“Ugh.” Hermione groaned.

This was going to be a long first day.

. . .

Yeah, this is pretty much a boring
filler chapter that sort of needed to be
in there as to not confuse you. So
anyway, please review!
