Please don't abandon this fic!! If you must abandon it, at least put it up for adoption!

Well, seems good, I'm hoping to know what has Voldemort done to Harry, or if, even if it seems unlikely, he has escaped on his own. I'll wait to read more. Good work.

I find Charlie more likely to happen though ;-P
Fleur/Bill just never made any sense to me, just like just about every other pairing in cannon.
Good work, looking good so far.

I'm new at this site but this story is easily the best I've read here (and I've been already browsing for quite a while :) this is an original setting that works well! I'm intrigued as to where the story continues, great work!

Wow. Awesome fight scene.

Pretty good work with this update. I had trouble figuring out Harry's thoughts from this chapter, but I guess that was your intention. He's pretty fragmented right now.
Looking forward to more.

Pretty decent stuff, just one thing odd:
“Yeah, and that’s discrete,†I said sarcastically. => should be "discreet"
Other than that, nothing obvious. I'll keep on reading.

Ah, well spotted. Thanks for letting me know.

I enjoyed this chapter pretty thoroughly, I must say. Slughorn's scene is unnecessary, in spite of what many authors think. It's a minor modification of his character, to allow him to be convinced without Harry's help.
The only thing I disliked was the fact that Harry drank coffee. It's not really worth changing, but in canon, coffee is literally never mentioned.
Looking forward to more.

Thanks for the review. I was planning to write the Slughorn scene but nothing particularly different would have happened so I cut it partly out of laziness. I suspect you're right about coffee in canon, I didn't actually realise that when I was writing the scene. Fortunately its not really integral to the plot so no major damage done.

Very nice start, I'm looking forward to finding out what actually happened and will happen next. Keep it up.
Author reply
Thanks. You should have a pretty good idea what happened by Chapter 7 of 8 if I manage to write it well enough :)

Intriguing start. I think that in spite of Hermione's opinion, the fighter in black was Harry...but only time will tell.
Looking forward to more.

Thanks for the review. Unfortunately the identity of the figure in black won't be revealed until the penultimate chapter unfortunately, so there's a while to wait to see if you're right :)

Kind of an interesting start so far. Not much yet, but I can see a few seeds for the future. I guess I'm curious as to what's happening next.
Author reply
Thanks. There's quite a lot of laying seeds for the future early on. Chapter 7 or 8 should be where it all comes together.
