Excellent! Maybe Dumbledore will be able to use the Dursleys to help figure out this mysterious curse. Is there any chance at all that it'll be taken care of before the Yule Ball? That would be a truly awkward situation. Looking forward to more.

Thanks - and I'm afraid the Yule Ball will indeed be a problem for Harry.

This is a wonderful idea for a story, and thus far it's been executed as close to perfectly as possible. Great, unique take on the Girl-Who-Lived AU concept. I can't wait to read more.

Quick question: when Harry says "Harry", do magical folk hear "Harriet?" Anyway, this is very close to canon, but there's lots of little changes here and there that make me smile. Yes, Harry. We know you're not a girl. Now come and put your straitjacket on. That's a good girl--uh, boy, yes, that's a good boy.

Ha, ha. I never exactly liked Draco, so it was funny to see him hit on Harry--oh, sorry, I mean HARRIET. This is too weird, and while I have absolutely no idea what's going on (referring the gender thing), I don't really care either, but there's still a bone-deep itch of curiosity that I can't seem to scratch. Is there a reason everybody thinks Harry is a... girl? I've just read the first chapter, and I'm already excited. Good job. It was silly, without going over the top.
Author reply
Yes, there's a reason - but Harry isn't actually a girl (everyone else just seems to think he is). Thanks for the review!

It was a rather cold dreary November day in Northern Scotland and Harry 'I'm Not a Bloody Girl!' Potter was walking back to the Gryffindor common room after a rather arduous detention with Professor "X". Yes life in the Wizarding world had been rather confusing for hir what with everybody thinking that he was a girl and now to top it all off the infamous Sirius Black had escaped from prison and was now, according to popular rumor, coming to extract revenge for 'her' having destroyed his master. So lost in his musings was he that he barely noticed when the Fat Lady in Pink called out "Password?" as he reached the landing infront of her portrait. Mumbling a near unhearable "Caput Draconis." he soon found himself in the familiar garish red light of the Gryffindor common room. It was rather quiet in the common room with none but a few seventh years studying for their N.E.W.T.'s and a few couples and groups of friends scattered here or there. As he made his way up to the third year girls dorm, one of the few advantages there was to every one thinking of him as a girl, he heard someone calling out the name he had become all too familiar with over thd last two-and-a-half years. "Harriet?" one of her room mates Lavender Brown, or Lav-Lav as Parvati Patil called her, called out making a 'come here' motion with her hand. Harry did so rather eagerly clearing the space between her and the couch the afore-mentioned girls in three quick strides. "So, Harriet," Lavender brown started as she placed her hands in her lap "have you gotten your period yet?" "Huh?" It's imagining moments like that one that make me constantly check to see if you've updated. I don't know exactly what an Omake is but if my guess is right this fic has just recieved one. Although it pales in comparison to your master-piece.

That's about right - an omake is an informal addition to a story that isn't meant to be taken seriously. And yours was quite amusing.

Heh. I can't decide which would be more amusing... All the magicals being wrong, or all the muggles Harry.

Well, I'll clear up it eventually - but in the mean time, keep guessing!

Just imagine what the yule ball will be like. I'm guessing Volo- Volo. . . Voldemore will have the same problem? That would be an interesting topic to talk about over a few drinks.

I am frankly shocked that you have such insight into my writing process.
